Course Description
In 1928, one man's dream became a reality for all Elks and the communities we serve. Then-National President John F. Malley envisioned a plan that would "unite the forces of the Order into a mighty army for the service of mankind." During the annual Grand Lodge Convention in Miami that year, Malley's call to service inspired delegates to take action by voting to establish the Elks National Foundation.Today, the Elks continue to build stronger communities across the nation. The ENF improves the quality of life in local Elks communities by helping youth develop lifelong skills, sending students to college, meeting the needs of today's veterans and supporting the charitable work of the state Elks associations. The ENF would not be what it is without its ongoing support of more than 100,000 active donors as well as volunteers at the Lodge, district and state levels. The Elks community continues to expands on Malley's vision to mobilize Elks across the country into a force for positive change each and every day.To get involved, visit www.elks.org/enf.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions about River Chase
Get answers to common questions about playing River Chase and what to expect.
How difficult is River Chase for mid-handicap golfers?
From a scoring perspective, River Chase challenges consistency. This slope level makes it manageable compared to championship venues. The course rating of 70 reflects on scoring relative to par 35.
What tees should a 15 handicap play at River Chase?
A 15 handicap golfer should consider tees closer to 6000 yards. The back tees extend to 6500 yards, which makes approach shots longer and scoring more challenging.
What is considered a good score at River Chase?
With a course rating of 70 and par 35, a mid-handicap golfer would typically score in the mid to high 80s. Stronger players aiming to break 35 must manage approach shots and avoid penalty strokes.
How long is River Chase and how does yardage affect play?
Stretching to 6500 yards from the back tees, it does not overwhelm length but rewards accuracy.
What type of course is River Chase and how should I play it?
The course follows a traditional Parkland design philosophy. Overall, the setup will reward players who place the ball in safe positions far from hazards. Also, type of shot is more crucial rather than just trying to gain distance.
What features make River Chase strategically challenging?
The combination of a slope rating of 120 and yardage reaching 6500 yards creates consistent pressure on approach shots. You will need to balance risk and reward, especially on longer par 4s and protected greens.
