Course Description

The Naperville Park District is an independent municipal agency established in 1966 to meet the recreational needs of Naperville, Illinois. It has been recognized as an Illinois Distinguished Agency since 1994 and is one of the few park districts nationally accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA). The district's mission is to provide recreation and park experiences that promote healthy lives, minds, and community.Managing over 2,400 acres of land, the district includes 138 parks, 75 playgrounds, and various specialized facilities such as the Riverwalk and Centennial Beach. It offers more than 7,500 annual programs, classes, and events, catering to nearly 150,000 residents. The district features a wide range of recreational programs, athletic facilities, and nature education initiatives, including the Knoch Knolls Nature Center. Community events, such as the 95th Street Farmers Market, foster engagement and accessibility for all age groups.
