Course Description
A desert oasis located in what was once an orange grove, the Orange Tree Golf Club is one of Arizona's finest luxury golf vacation destinations. Recently awarded a Green Award for the Scottsdale Green by Design Award from the Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Orange Tree Golf Club has been recognized by the community for its green efforts in reducing non-recyclable waste, reducing water usage and implementing a recycling program on property. In contrast with all other Scottsdale Golf Group courses, Orange Tree offers a Midwest landscape where the terrain is relatively level with very tall mature trees and great views of Camelback Mountain. The course began in the late 50's and since has grown into a fun well known track as well as a newly remodeled driving range with some of the best turf to hit on, two putting greens as well as two short game areas where one can practice or get a lesson. With all the trees and 110 acres of turf, Orange Tree is the ideal golf course to play in during the hot Arizona summer months as one can gain temporary relief from the sun.

How difficult is Orange Tree Gr for mid-handicap golfers?
From a scoring perspective, Orange Tree Gr challenges consistency. This slope level makes it manageable compared to championship venues. The course rating of 71.1 reflects on scoring relative to par 72.
What tees should a 15 handicap play at Orange Tree Gr?
A 15 handicap golfer should consider tees closer to 6130 yards. The back tees extend to 6627.0 yards, which makes approach shots longer and scoring more challenging.
What is considered a good score at Orange Tree Gr?

How long is Orange Tree Gr and how does yardage affect play?
Stretching to 6627.0 yards from the back tees, it does not overwhelm length but rewards accuracy.
What type of course is Orange Tree Gr and how should I play it?
The course follows a traditional Parkland design philosophy. Overall, the setup will reward players who place the ball in safe positions far from hazards. Also, type of shot is more crucial rather than just trying to gain distance.
What features make Orange Tree Gr strategically challenging?
The combination of a slope rating of 124.0 and yardage reaching 6627.0 yards creates consistent pressure on approach shots. You will need to balance risk and reward, especially on longer par 4s and protected greens.
