Course Description
Maple Leaf Golf Course consists of three 9 hole courses. Our East 9 was built in 1963 and is carved through the woods and has many flower beds tucked into the landscape. This is our shortest 9 and one of the most popular. The West 9 opened in 1978. The longest of our 3 nines and features large rolling greens. The signature hole is #8 on our North 9. This should be the easiest hole on the course at only 93 yards, but water surrounds the green and intimidates even the best golfer. Water and sand traps come into play on each hole to make it a very challenging round of golf. After your round of golf, quench your thirst with a pint of Maple Leaf Porter brewed from our very own maple syrup. Bring your friends or your outing to Maple Leaf Golf Course for a great day on the course.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions about North
Get answers to common questions about playing North and what to expect.
How difficult is North for mid-handicap golfers?
Players often find North technically exacting. The 120 slope rating keeps it accessible for developing players. The course rating of 70 reflects on scoring relative to par 36.
What tees should a 15 handicap play at North?
A 15 handicap golfer should consider tees closer to 6000 yards. The back tees extend to 6500 yards, which makes approach shots longer and scoring more challenging.
What is considered a good score at North?
With a course rating of 70 and par 36, a mid-handicap golfer would typically score in the mid to high 80s. Stronger players aiming to break 36 must manage approach shots and avoid penalty strokes.
How long is North and how does yardage affect play?
At a full length of 6500 yards, it balances distance with positional strategy.
What type of course is North and how should I play it?
Architecturally, it reflects a Parkland style. Overall, the setup will reward players who place the ball in safe positions far from hazards. Also, type of shot is more crucial rather than just trying to gain distance.
What features make North strategically challenging?
The combination of a slope rating of 120 and yardage reaching 6500 yards creates consistent pressure on approach shots. You will need to balance risk and reward, especially on longer par 4s and protected greens.
