FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions about Hendon
Get answers to common questions about playing Hendon and what to expect.
How difficult is Hendon for mid-handicap golfers?
From a scoring perspective, Hendon challenges consistency. A slope rating of 138.0 suggests a moderately demanding round. The course rating of 77.0 reflects on scoring relative to par 70.
What tees should a 15 handicap play at Hendon?
A 15 handicap golfer should consider tees closer to 5940 yards. The back tees extend to 6227.0 yards, which makes approach shots longer and scoring more challenging.
What is considered a good score at Hendon?
With a course rating of 77.0 and par 70, a mid-handicap golfer would typically score in the mid to high 80s. Stronger players aiming to break 70 must manage approach shots and avoid penalty strokes.
How long is Hendon and how does yardage affect play?
Measuring 6227.0 yards at maximum length, strategy outweighs power in most scoring situations.
What type of course is Hendon and how should I play it?
Hendon is designed as a Parkland layout. Overall, the setup will reward players who place the ball in safe positions far from hazards. Also, type of shot is more crucial rather than just trying to gain distance.
What features make Hendon strategically challenging?
The combination of a slope rating of 138.0 and yardage reaching 6227.0 yards creates consistent pressure on approach shots. You will need to balance risk and reward, especially on longer par 4s and protected greens.
