Course Description
In 1923, the founding members, seeking a place of natural beauty and a congenial way of life, had no way of knowing that their new association was to eventually become Central Florida's most prestigious and historic private country club. Today, we reap the benefits of gentlemen, who back then, made a decision and commitment to form what was then Lake Region Country Club. But it wasn't until 1964 that the Club resembled anything close to a modern country club as we know one today. In 2013 the Club sold to a small group of equity Members and is now known as The Country Club of Winter Haven. History though, will not be forgotten. The first trip down the long, tree lined drive leading to the Club solidifies the fact that this is someplace special; where memories have been made over the years during dances and weddings, tournaments and parties, holes-in-one, and tennis rallies. But, more importantly, this property, no matter the name, is treasured as a place where lifetime relationships have been, and will be formed.
