Course Description
While The Club at Fairvue Plantation is only in its infancy, Fairvue Plantation itself has a long and storied history. The Fairvue Mansion, one of the centerpieces of the Fairvue development, dates back to 1832 and, over the years, has been the setting for foxhunts, steeplechases and racehorse breeding.Gallatin, Tennessee was a thriving and wealthy community in the early 1800's and The Club at Fairvue Plantation is an elegant reminder of the area's history. Many structures within the Fairvue development are well over 150 years old. The four antebellum era guest cottages (available for members and their guests), the mare barns and the fitness center are all original buildings that date back prior to the Civil War.Today, The Club at Fairvue Plantation embraces its past while writing a new chapter in its long history. The Club opened to rave reviews in 2004 and has continued growing ever since. We are well-known for having one of the most social and active membership bases in the Middle Tennessee region.

Frequently Asked Questions about Fairvue Plantation
Get answers to common questions about playing Fairvue Plantation and what to expect.
How difficult is Fairvue Plantation for mid-handicap golfers?
From a scoring perspective, Fairvue Plantation challenges consistency. The 120 slope rating keeps it accessible for developing players. The course rating of 70 reflects on scoring relative to par 72.
What tees should a 15 handicap play at Fairvue Plantation?
A 15 handicap golfer should consider tees closer to 6000 yards. The back tees extend to 6500 yards, which makes approach shots longer and scoring more challenging.
What is considered a good score at Fairvue Plantation?
With a course rating of 70 and par 72, a mid-handicap golfer would typically score in the mid to high 80s. Stronger players aiming to break 72 must manage approach shots and avoid penalty strokes.
How long is Fairvue Plantation and how does yardage affect play?
At a full length of 6500 yards, it balances distance with positional strategy.
What type of course is Fairvue Plantation and how should I play it?
Architecturally, it reflects a Parkland style. Overall, the setup will reward players who place the ball in safe positions far from hazards. Also, type of shot is more crucial rather than just trying to gain distance.
What features make Fairvue Plantation strategically challenging?
The combination of a slope rating of 120 and yardage reaching 6500 yards creates consistent pressure on approach shots. You will need to balance risk and reward, especially on longer par 4s and protected greens.
