Privately owned and with over 15 years experience owning and managing luxury properties in the western Algarve, Vigia is now established as one of the leading developers in the Algarve region. As well as its property portfolio, it has 20 years experience in the western Algarve of the development, letting and management of luxury leisure resorts. Parque da Floresta, Vigia's flagship golf and leisure resort, was purchased in 1993, and is now recognised as one of the leading golf and leisure resorts in Europe. Luxurious villas and village houses surround the centrepiece of the resort, an imaginatively designed, 18 hole par 71 golf course. Recent investment has seen the manicuring and re-shaping of many original holes to meet the demands of today's golfers and is now widely billed as one of Europe's most picturesque. The resort also boasts its own golf academy, health and beauty spa, gymnasium and full range of sports and leisure activities, bars, and restaurants. Today the Vigia Group owns and operates eight resorts in the western Algarve: Parque da Floresta, Quinta da Encosts Velha, Quinta da Fortaleza, The View I & II, Quinta do Montinho, Quinta da Aldeia and Quinta de Sao Roque. The total land area owned is 1,280 hectaresAll of Vigia's resorts are built within the boundaries of the Costa Vicentina Nature Reserve, protecting them for future over development, and are minutes away from a beautiful unspoilt western Algarve coastline of un-crowded beaches, secluded coves, dramatic cliff tops, quaint fishing villages, and bustling towns.
