Chip | Rough | Above/Below Feet

Short Game

Up to 5 players hit two buckets of balls (avg. bucket is 40 balls) from the sloped rough grass; one bucket with balls above feet level, and one bucket with balls below feet level.

Put 3 target zones on the green, 6 feet apart in a line to the hole.

Set up two groups of balls for each player in the rough: one with balls above feet, one with balls below feet, from 5 to 30 yards away.

Hit 36 chip shots: 18 to the first target, 18 to the second target.

First, hit 18 shots from above feet to the first target.

Then, hit 18 shots from below feet to the second target.

Count a shot as a success if the ball stops inside the target zone.

Do not move the balls; only change target when needed.

Chip | Parallel Ball Lines | 9 Stop Zones

Short Game

Up to 5 players compete to stop a chip shot in the stop zone(s). The player with the most points at the end wins the challenge. Up to 80 balls are needed.

Make 9 stop zones on the green. Mark them with tees, string, or buckets. Line up or put them in a grid.

Put 36 balls in 4 rows. Each row has 9 balls, spaced 1 foot apart. Put the rows about 5 yards apart on the grass, between 5 and 20 yards from the green.

Plan to hit 4 balls at each of the 9 stop zones. That is 36 shots.

Start at any row of balls. Hit balls, trying to stop each one in the first stop zone.

After 4 tries at the first zone, go to the next zone and do the same. Keep going until you try all 9 zones.

6

Count a shot as a success if the ball stops completely inside the target zone.

7

When all shots are done, count the number of successful shots and enter the score in the app, out of 36 attempts.

Short Game

Scatter a bucket of balls (avg. bucket is 40 balls) into 8 equal piles of 5 balls and stop chip shots close to multiple targets. Count the number of successes.

Place 3 flags or targets on the green, 6 feet apart in a line.

Split the 36 balls into 3 groups of 12 shots.

Hit the first 12 balls to the first flag and try to stop each ball within 10 feet of it.

Hit the next 12 balls to the second flag, trying to stop them within 10 feet.

Hit the last 12 balls to the third flag, again aiming to stop within 10 feet.

Switch which pile you use each time to practice different distances and grass.

Put the lines on grass 5-20 yards/meters from the hole, not on the green.

On the green, make 4 quadrants using string or tees, each about 6 feet in radius.

Start at any ball line and chip 9 balls, aiming for Quadrant

Move to the next line and chip 9 balls to Quadrant

Do the same for Quadrants 3 and 4, 9 balls each.
