Course Description
Juniper Golf Course and The View Restaurant is great for hosting weddings and other special events, golf tournaments, free play golf and memberships. The central location, next to the Redmond Airport and Deschutes County Fairgrounds, is great for out-of-town visitors as well as Central Oregon residents. Juniper Golf Course offers a driving range, practice putting green, chipping green with bunker, restaurant, lounge and banquet room. Juniper Golf Course was designed by golf course architect, John Harbottle III. Utilizing the high desert topography of Central Oregon, John gives you spectacular views of the Cascade Mountain range while wandering the course through the native juniper trees, lava rock and sagebrush. A peek at Smith Rocks and Powell Butte will surprise you as well. One of Juniper's accolades comes from Golf Digest as Juniper was chosen as the best municipal course in the State of Oregon for 2009/2010. The golf course offers seven sets of tees from the back yardage of 7,186 to the forward yardage of 5,500. Recent host of the 2010 Oregon Open and six time host of the US Men's Amateur Qualifying event for Oregon, Juniper stands out as a formable challenge to even the accomplished golfer.

How difficult is Juniper Golf Club for mid-handicap golfers?
From a scoring perspective, Juniper Golf Club challenges consistency. A slope rating of 135.0 suggests a moderately demanding round. The course rating of 74.2 reflects on scoring relative to par 72.
What tees should a 15 handicap play at Juniper Golf Club?

What is considered a good score at Juniper Golf Club?

How long is Juniper Golf Club and how does yardage affect play?
Measuring 6063.0 yards at maximum length, strategy outweighs power in most scoring situations.
What type of course is Juniper Golf Club and how should I play it?
Juniper Golf Club is designed as a Parkland layout. Overall, the setup will reward players who place the ball in safe positions far from hazards. Also, type of shot is more crucial rather than just trying to gain distance.
What features make Juniper Golf Club strategically challenging?
The combination of a slope rating of 135.0 and yardage reaching 6063.0 yards creates consistent pressure on approach shots. You will need to balance risk and reward, especially on longer par 4s and protected greens.
