Course Description
From its inception in 1923 as the Thorpe Country Club, the Edina Country Club has remained an integral part of its member's lifestyle. ECC is a full-service private club located minutes away from downtown Minneapolis in the upscale suburb of Edina, Minnesota which still maintains a tradition of excellence in programs, facilities, and, most importantly, the high standards exhibited by the "user friendly" staff of the club. Edina Country Club has been designated as a Platinum Club of America ranking it among the top 150 private clubs in the upper Midwest.Edina Country Club is primarily a neighborhood and family Club which has an active membership offering a variety of recreational and clubhouse amenities. Those amenities include an 18-hole championship golf course originally designed by Tom Bendelow and redesigned by Tom Lehman and Chris Brands in 2010; an Olympic-sized swimming pool, cabana and snack bar; four Har-Tru (clay) tennis courts, two hard-surface tennis courts and two platform tennis courts; and a 65,000 square-foot clubhouse.The clubhouse offers a fully stocked golf shop; men's and women's locker facilities; Chester's Restaurant for fine dining; The Pub for casual dining and beverages; and a variety of banquet spaces to meet every need from the small business meeting to an elaborate wedding reception.The management and staff of the club are focused on delivering fine services and amenities as well as superior quality athletic programs and facilities.
