Course Description
Dundas Parks Golf Club was founded in 1957. The park was originally farmland owned by the nearby Dundas Castle located on the outskirts of South Queensferry with beautiful views of Edinburgh and the Pentlands Hills. The course will test the skills of all players, no matter what their abilities are. It is a wonderful 9 hole course played twice, so players have the opportunity to repeat their good shots or learn from the experience. If time is short, then 9 holes is just the answer. The course has gentle inclines so moderate exercise rather than a leg aching experience. The Club has a vibrant membership with Ladies, Gents and Junior Sections and is affiliated to the Scottish Golf Union and a member of the Linlithgowshire Golf Association. The Club also participates in Scotland&

Frequently Asked Questions about Dundas Parks
Get answers to common questions about playing Dundas Parks and what to expect.
How difficult is Dundas Parks for mid-handicap golfers?
Dundas Parks is regarded as a strategically complex layout. This slope level makes it manageable compared to championship venues. The course rating of 70.0 reflects on scoring relative to par 70.
What tees should a 15 handicap play at Dundas Parks?
A 15 handicap golfer should consider tees closer to 5973 yards. The back tees extend to 6324.0 yards, which makes approach shots longer and scoring more challenging.
What is considered a good score at Dundas Parks?
With a course rating of 70.0 and par 70, a mid-handicap golfer would typically score in the mid to high 80s. Stronger players aiming to break 70 must manage approach shots and avoid penalty strokes.
How long is Dundas Parks and how does yardage affect play?
Stretching to 6324.0 yards from the back tees, it does not overwhelm length but rewards accuracy.
What type of course is Dundas Parks and how should I play it?
The course follows a traditional Parkland design philosophy. Overall, the setup will reward players who place the ball in safe positions far from hazards. Also, type of shot is more crucial rather than just trying to gain distance.
What features make Dundas Parks strategically challenging?
The combination of a slope rating of 114.0 and yardage reaching 6324.0 yards creates consistent pressure on approach shots. You will need to balance risk and reward, especially on longer par 4s and protected greens.
