Course Description
Set in rolling countryside midway between Torbay, Dartmoor and the South Hams, Dainton Park is the perfect destination to play golf, dine, work-out or meet business colleagues. We opened our doors in the early 90's to anyone wishing to enjoy a social, healthy lifestyle, and from the beginning we worked hard to break down the barriers within the golfing world, and encourage greater participation and social mobility.Over the years the course has matured into an enjoyable test of golf for all abilities. Our professional coaches continue to introduce novice golfers to the game, while our league teams regularly enjoy success at county level. And because we believe golf can be enjoyed by the whole family we maintain a relaxed, friendly environment on the golf course and in the clubhouse. The addition of our Oak Room Restaurant in 2003 enabled us to reach out to non-golfers as well, serving a selection of traditional British fare, all home cooked and predominantly locally sourced. And most recently we have added a modern fitness suite and business meeting rooms, which have transformed Dainton Park into the ultimate 3rd space – a complete destination for sport, work and socialising.

What type of course is Dainton Park Course and how should I play it?
The course follows a traditional Links design philosophy. Overall, the setup will reward players who place the ball in safe positions far from hazards. Also, type of shot is more crucial rather than just trying to gain distance.
What features make Dainton Park Course strategically challenging?
The combination of a slope rating of 132.0 and yardage reaching 6402.0 yards creates consistent pressure on approach shots. You will need to balance risk and reward, especially on longer par 4s and protected greens.
