Majestically nestled within the gated community of Woodmore, The Country Club at Woodmore features one of the Middle Atlantic's top rated golf courses (ranked 7th by Golf Digest, 2011). The course was named among the 20010-11 Best Golf Courses In The State Of Maryland. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the beautifully conditioned course features rolling fairways, challenging greens, and spectacular views. Open since 1981, the 18-hole course has a distinguished reputation as one of the area's most challenging and esteemed venues, and as a favorite course for golf association events. Boasting nearly 7,100 yards from the championship tees, the course has hosted the Melwood Prince George's County Open since 2007; part of the Nationwide PGA Tour.
