Course Description

Chardonnay Golf Club & Vineyards is a 18-hole semi-private golf facility located Southeast of the city of Napa in Jamieson Canyon at the gateway to the world renown Napa Valley wine district. Unlike virtually all courses today, Chardonnay's golfers are not asked to play amidst any private residences. Our 18-holes of semi-private championship golf offer a variety of challenges for players of all skill levels. The 18-hole layout features a unique blend of golf holes consisting of six par fives, six par fours and six par threes that meander through over 150 acres of Chardonnay vineyards and feature numerous lakes and creek crossing, five sets of tees (Professional - Black, Tournament - Burgundy, Mens - Green, Seniors - Ivory, and Ladies - Gold) to choose from and a wide variety of native trees, shrubs and wildlife. Several areas of the property are designed as wildlife preserves and are dedicated to maintaining wildlife habitat among the vineyards and fairways. Sharing the property with the golfers are several species of birds including hawks, kites, kestrels, hummingbirds, and an occasional golden eagle. In the early morning or late evening hours rabbits, squirrels, foxes, our bobcat family on #16 and many other "critters" stroll through the fairways. The Chardonnay Golf Club & Vineyards food and beverage staff can assist you with any and everything from breakfast to box lunches, banquets to bridal ceremonies. Annually we host a large number of bridal ceremonies and receptions combined with golf. These have created memories to last a lifetime in one of the most visually dramatic environments anywhere. Our staff truly knows how important these moments are and your entire party shall notice their true talent and commitment.

What is considered a good score at Chardonnay Gc?

With a course rating of 74.3 and par 72, a mid-handicap golfer would typically score in the mid to high 80s. Stronger players aiming to break 72 must manage approach shots and avoid penalty strokes.

How long is Chardonnay Gc and how does yardage affect play?

Stretching to 6850.0 yards from the back tees, approach shot length becomes a consistent scoring factor.

What type of course is Chardonnay Gc and how should I play it?

The course follows a traditional Parkland design philosophy. Overall, the setup will reward players who place the ball in safe positions far from hazards. Also, type of shot is more crucial rather than just trying to gain distance.

What features make Chardonnay Gc strategically challenging?

The combination of a slope rating of 133.0 and yardage reaching 6850.0 yards creates consistent pressure on approach shots. You will need to balance risk and reward, especially on longer par 4s and protected greens.
