Course Description
The Bay Club is a full service country club and golf community in Mattapoisett, MA. One hour south of Boston and thirty minutes east of Providence, RI, the club offers championship golf, racquet sports, year-round fitness, fine dining and aquatics center. Golf and Social memberships with sub-categories are available. The par 71 Championship golf course was designed by PGA Professional Brad Faxon and course architect Brad Booth and offers 6 course ratings with yardages ranging from 5,118 to 6,997 yards. A wide range of clinics, group lessons and private instruction are tailored for the youngest players through the more serious, low handicap golfer and those just beginning the game. The Practice Facilities, including 360-yard, double-ended range, chipping area, Short Game Area and Winter Golf Center, are unparalleled in the SouthCoast Region. The club features 4 Har-Tru tennis courts and 2 platform tennis courts. Casual and competitive tennis is offered throughout the season as well as clinics and private lessons. Year-round fitness instruction is offered at the club's Sports and Activities Center featuring state of the art training facilities. Most forms of fitness instruction are offered, including certified Titleist Performance Testing, training and conditioning. The center also features a seasonal junior Olympic sized pool. The Golf House restaurant offers superb year round dining. The club offers 189 home-sites and homes. Mattapoisett's deepwater harbor and easy access to Buzzards Bay and the Elizabeth Islands offers renowned sailing, fishing and cruising. Overall, the community boasts 625 acres of rolling, forested terrain with 200 acres of open space and 225 acres reserved for 6 residential villages with homes ranging from 2,200 to over 7,000 square feet. The Bay Club is the only residential community in New England certified by Audubon International as a Silver Sanctuary Community, Audubon's highest rating, and 92% of the total acreage is "green".
